Chemicals, Organic foods and our Birds.

Picture
You, like me have most likely seen the comments that tell people not to give that to a bird as it's full of chemicals and you might have change what you were doing because of it. You might be shocked to hear this, but I allow my birds to bathe in a chemical that is known to kill not just birds but other animals, plants and people too.

The chemical that I'm talking about has the chemical formula of H2O, known to most people as water, yes! water is a chemical. If you're not giving your birds chemicals then they are going to have very short lives.

The point of this article is to get you and others to realise that a chemical is not automatically good or bad and you need to research them to find out if they are safe to be used around your birds.

Should you stick to Organic?

Picture
After reading the first part of this article you should know realise that organic foods are not chemical free like so many people believe. They also don't contain more nutrition than the same food produced with other methods. Sometimes organic farming methods can require the use of more chemicals but it's up to you to decide what you want to feed to your birds, just make sure it's safe.
